KWSP to showcase disruptive capabilities at Advanced Engineering 2017

High performance engineering solutions provider, KWSP, will showcase its extensive range of lightweighting, digital manufacturing and 3D printing capabilities at this year’s Advanced Engineering exhibition. Taking place at The NEC in Birmingham on 1st and 2nd November, the event aims to connect the UK’s engineering supply chain with R&D, design, test, production and procurement professionals from leading OEMs worldwide.

On stand E31, the KWSP team will showcase a number of innovative technologies, pioneering capabilities and next-generation projects. Alongside an ongoing venture to design and manufacture wind tunnels for the performance sport market, the team will display its LabPrinter platform and promote its lightweighting and additive manufacturing competencies for the motorsport and automotive industries.

KWSP’s managing director, Kieron Salter, will demonstrate the company’s thermoplastic carbon chassis platform – ToPCaT – as part of the event’s Automotive Engineering Forum (1 November, 4.20pm). A low-cost carbon alternative to more traditional solutions, ToPCaT boasts a modular manufacturing concept, scalable production methods, low cost tooling and a recyclable second life.

The thermoplastic, lightweight structure concept addresses a need in many markets for a viable, safer and cost-effective option to traditional composites.

Salter comments: “As the UK’s largest annual gathering of advanced engineering professionals, exhibiting at this year’s event provides the perfect opportunity to showcase our capabilities and discuss the latest trends and innovations with delegates.

“At KWSP, we pride ourselves on delivering high performance engineering solutions for some of the world’s most prestigious brands. Maintaining our position as a sector leader relies on delivering innovation to ease market pressures, which makes our attendance at events such as Advanced Engineering hugely important.”
