Role: Design Engineer
Joining date: September 2016
Life before KWSP
I was studying towards my MEng Aerospace Engineering degree at the University of Manchester, I started at KWSP after my third year.
What made you join?
I was very impressed by KWSP’s ability to turn around demanding projects with a relatively small work force. I also figured that I would gain a wider variety of experience at KWSP than I would at a larger company.
What’s your average day like?
I start most days with a review of my task list. The majority of my time is spent designing components on CAD. I am almost guaranteed to learn something new every week if not daily.
Life outside of KWSP
My biggest hobby is racing remote control cars. I have been competing nationally since 2007 and I have won many national and local races. I’m also a keen runner and have taken part in 10 kms, half marathons and even a marathon.
Highlights of my career so far
I’d have to say seeing components that I had designed in the flesh for the first time was a proud moment. Seeing them operate together correctly was also very pleasing.
